Kingdom Fellowship AME Church is seeking a CDL Driver to assist with the transportation of members and guests for various worship experiences on Sunday mornings.

Responsibilities:
  • Shuttle Members and Guests from designated stops to the Kingdom Worship Center
  • Provide assistance with Kingdom Fellowship AME CDC transportation efforts
  • Report any issues with the assigned vehicles to the Ministry Lea

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Have a valid Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL)
  • Must successfully pass DOT Physical
  • Must be able to speak, read, and write in English to communicate with the general public, understand highway traffic signs and signals in English, respond to official inquiries, and make entries on reports and records
  • No current CDL suspension or revocation
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) & good DAC Report
  • Successfully pass a criminal background check
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screen
  • Must be able to use handheld technology and smartphone applications such as GPS

Position Overview:

Kingdom Fellowship AME Church is seeking a Worship Lead to direct and produce worship services musically and special programs, coordinating all-encompassing service details based on the theme and overall direction established by the Senior Pastor. The Worship Lead must be a creative, passionate visionary in leading people to God after the pattern of our mission statement. The Worship Lead will be a team-builder with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to develop a long-term plan for growing the worship an arts ministry and inspire those around them to join in the pursuit of that vision. In addition to a musical performing arts director and ministry coordinator, it is essential that the Worship Lead is a spiritually mature example who can minister to the people of God in and out of the Church. The Worship Lead is supervised by the KFAME Worship and Arts Director. 

Qualifications and Requirements:

Spiritual

  • Communicate a clear testimony of faith in Jesus Christ and a growing personal relationship with Him expressed by ongoing spiritual disciplines of Bible reading, prayer, personal worship, fasting, confession, and fellowship.  
  • Demonstrate a commitment to moral purity.  
  • Commit to the mission, vision, and worship philosophy of Kingdom Fellowship. 
  • Lead a Spirit-led life that exemplifies 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:5-9 and a willing spirit in the life-long pursuit of sanctification.  
  • Exhibit Ministerial experience characterized by empathy and a commitment to God’s Word (Minimum: 2 years demonstrated; 5+ preferred; ordination not required)  
  • Invest time developing relationships within the worship and arts department, the overall membership, and those in the community, to be effective in pursuing the Great Commission and helping the church to do the same. 

Leadership:

  • Demonstrate excellence as a worship leader (minimum: 4 years; 8+ years preferred)    
  • Plan and direct the corporate worship services of Kingdom Fellowship in consultation with the Worship and Arts Director and with prayer, conceptual forethought, theological accuracy, variety, sensitivity to the Spirit, synergy, and musical appropriateness. Ensure that all the musical and technical aspects of the service are well-planned, rehearsed, and suited to advance the theme for the day. 
  • Use of technology in worship and of sound, lighting, computers, presentation software, and video projection. 
  • Lead and supervise others from children to adults (choirs, bands, campus band, and worship interns). 
  • Set, attain, evaluate, and modify short-term and long-term goals for the worship ministry that align with the vision and mission of Kingdom Fellowship. 
  • Skilled in planning, teaching, and working with the larger team in mapping out current and future worship experiences and events and other duties as assigned. 
  • Set the standard for serving as lead worshipper in worship services.  
  • Incorporate other art forms (choral and instrumental arts, visual, graphic, and drama)  
  • Coordinate all aspects of the worship ministry to function together cohesively, overseeing song and choral selection, and coordination of all instrumentalists, vocalists, dancers, and other participants.   
  • Build, instruct, and equip the teams to carry out the worship areas of Kingdom Fellowship 
  • Advocate for the worship ministry, its various components, and its mission and vision within the context of the Kingdom Fellowship’s community. 
  • Plan and direct seasonal programs as outreach opportunities.  
  • Direct all weekly activities and rehearsals necessary to facilitate excellent worship experiences in all services.  
  • Research and introduce our worship teams and choirs to worship training provided by conferences, books, or other ministries.  
  • Build contacts and relationships with local musicians, studios, and organizations for both evangelistic and staffing purposes.  
  • Display a positive experience and attitude in managing multiple employees, building relationships, and leading successful teams.  
  • Prove initiative and willingness to grow professionally.  
  • Express an enthusiastic stage presence for leading a large church in worship.

Position Overview:

The Assistant Music Director & Organist (AMDO) will demonstrate a strong commitment to Jesus Christ while assisting the Music Director in developing and enhancing the worship of God at Kingdom Fellowship AME Church. The AMDO will provide organ and piano music for worship services and other church events including but not limited to funerals. 
 
The Assistant Music Director & Organist will provide leadership in creating a culture that encourages musicians and artists to develop their talents to glorify God through participation in all forms of worship celebration. The AMDO will also possess a developed knowledge of music literature and the ability to perform music. Team building, coaching, development, leadership, and self-starter skills are required qualifications. 

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to: 

  • Help to train and develop youth musicians and incoming volunteers. 
  • Align with mission/vision of the Worship & Arts Ministry 
  • Substitute for operators in audio team as needed.
  • Assist audio team in weekly band communication as needed. 
  • Assist with administrative band tasks. 
  • Create chord charts of worship songs and/or special music selections as necessary. 
  • Transcribe additional music elements (strings, etc.) as necessary.
  • Create audio programming, loops, click-tracks, etc. as necessary. 
  • Assist with scheduling. 
  • Assist audition process for potential new volunteers. 
  • Fulfill necessary tasks in the absence of the Music Director  
  • Leading vocal & instrumental rehearsals as necessary
  • Alternate between current and future campus locations as needed. 
  • Facilitate and be the leading musical support for the Young Adult worship teams and choirs. 
  • Provide organ and piano music in a professional manner for all worship services and all seasonal and special services. 
  • Assist with content creation for future musical endeavors for Kingdom Music.  

Skills and Talents 

  • Proficient knowledge of music and music theory 
  • Proficient instrumentalist and vocalist 
  • Proficient knowledge of audio signal flow and sound reinforcement 
  • Proficient with the following software packages: Finale® or similar music engraving software, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, ProTools® or similar audio recording and editing software. 
  • Proficient in leading a band rehearsal. 
  • Keen ear for music— “director’s ear” 
  • Ability to recognize and adapt to group dynamics. 
  • Ability to lead and motivate.

Experience:

  • Experience in playing worship services required. 
  • Previous professional experience in a similar role preferred. 
  • Must have 3-5 years’ experience as a Music Director

Position Overview:

The East County Services Consolidation Hub is seeking a Bilingual Assistant Hub Coordinator for the East County Hub. The East County Hub is a consolidation center for food, community support and essential health items for children, families, and seniors formed to address the residual impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. The Assistant Hub Coordinator is responsible for administrative support to all Hub functions, supporting daily Hub operation duties, and for all communication initiatives with clients in English and Spanish. This is a full-time, entry-level position.  

Qualifications, Skills, and Requirements

Hub Operations and Logistics to include: 

  • Work closely with the Hub Coordinator and support Hub operations in their absence by leading the preparation and execution of food distributions (packing, stocking, loading, lifting, and cleaning). 
  • Coordinate Hub deliveries (meats, produce, and non-perishable items).  
  • Manage Hub volunteers, duties, and communications platform (organization, registration, preparation, and training). 
  • Complete intake information and make referrals for Hub clients.  
  • Assist with Hub reports and with data collection. 
  • Participate in KGCDC/KCC meetings and training sessions.  

Hub Communications and Engagement to include:

  • Respond to emails, phone calls, and/or text messages in a timely manner 
  • Promote Hub events via flyers, calendars, and website in English and Spanish  
  • Assist with developing a network of partnerships with the Hispanic/Latinx community in East Montgomery County Maryland 

Necessary Skills

  • Self-Motivated, takes initiative, and follows through on tasks and goals. 
  • Strong organizational skills are a must. 
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, simultaneously. 
  • Flexible and Agile with the ability to lift 50 lbs. 
  • Working knowledge of Office 365 (Microsoft Word, Excel, and SharePoint) 
  • Reliable transportation and the ability to use respective transportation to complete job-related tasks are required.  
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in both English and Spanish are a must. 

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Ideal Candidate is Bilingual in Spanish and English 
  • High School Diploma or equivalency required (Associates Degree, preferred) 
  • Minimum two years of related professional experience
Environment
